Tell me: when was the last time you felt comfortable in your own body? Do you feel comfortable right now? Or was it last week?… Last month?… Last year? Or maybe you don’t even remember when that last time was.

You follow trends, you stuff your closet with more and more clothes but truly, nothing feels right anymore. Things are too tight, or too loose. They look too young or make you feel too old.

You hear about styles but you have no idea where you fit. “What is my style?”, you think to yourself, each time getting more confused, and more overwhelmed with all the options in stores, online, all the newsletters coming in, all the sales… It’s not your fault, though. It’s a mousetrap designed to catch you in this eternal shopping loop.

The time when we had 2 seasons to deal with (fashion-wise) is long gone. Now, new trends get spit out every other week! It’s insane, really. And impossible to sustain, at all levels. The environmental issue goes without saying. But what about the consumer? Is this really a service for the consumer? NO. Not in the least. The more lost you get, the more profitable you became, because when in doubt, 9 out of 10 you buy it and decide later. But later you forgot all about it, and it sits in the back of closet while you go shop for something else.

It feels like you have nothing to wear because, really… you have too many options.

You have decision-fatigue. It’s a real thing by the way.

Our brain get’s tired of the many, constant, daily decisions it has to make, from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep. So, it makes shortcuts. That’s why, so often, we feel we’re in auto-pilot.

That being said, the more options you have to choose from, the more you’re overloading your decision-making process… your brain get’s overwhelmed, so it decides nothing, or it takes forever.

On the other hand, when you have few and organized, coherent options to chose from, that all becomes easier, faster, and a more pleasing experience.

You need to nail your style, know yourself, your body, your goals, in order to always feel good about yourself.

Your style informs the people around you about who you are, what you want, your qualities, your goals… BUT, it also informs you about how you value yourself.
