Have you been noticing that your mailbox is filling up with promotional emails, even more than usual?
Emails, inviting you to shop, giving all sorts of “last minute” deals are flooding your inbox?
If you have… you are right. Brands are pushing online shopping, now more that ever, because of this pandemic. With businesses being affected in all sorts of ways, brick and mortar stores having to shut doors for long periods at a time, and many not working at full capacity. This combined with a lot of people not wanting to risk it, going to a physical store, afraid of the virus, as caused brands to turn, even more, to online business.
Now, overwhelming as that might sound, it’s up to you to filter through the clutter.
So, how do you know if you should take advantage of those deals or not?
Here are 3 tips that will help you navigate this:
1- Keep your shopping list up to date and close by. This way, when in doubt, just go back to that list and see if you actually need that thing you’re eyeing.
2- Ask yourself: would I still buy this, if it wasn’t on sale? If the answer is yes, swipe that card. If the answer is no, you probably don’t need it or don’t like that much… or both.
3- Think to yourself: can I wear this piece, at least 3 different ways? (With things you already have in your closet, not by shopping further). Again, if the answer is yes, go for it. If the answer is no, it means that piece is not very versatile and it will end not getting much wear. Sit that one out.
I would love to hear from you, now. Have you been feeling mostly overwhelmed or excited about this shopping fever, going on? Tell me in the comment section below.
