3 Ways to Wear Bold Patterns to Work
Patterns are everywhere for Spring. Flowers, stripes, colourful or colourless, it doesn’t matter and there’s no way to avoid them. However, it’s sometimes hard to invest in trends that seem so bold that you’ll only wear on the weekends and on top of that, they just seem to hard to pair with anything… Not anymore.
Here are 3 rules to keep in mind so you can easily take that new pattern to the office.
Make the pattern a focus point and not the entire outfit.
How? Go for accessories or pair different patters on separate accessories. This is also a great idea to add interest to a more low-key attire.
When you want the pattern to take over the outfit, go for softer tones and add other focus points, without going over the top.
Keep it to two or three colours, max!
But if you’re feeling bold and want to try a stronger color – yellow is going to be a huge trend for Spring – you can. Just remember that, in this case, you should go for more structured garments, more office-like silhouettes to keep it appropriate. Also, keep your accessories to the minimum and your makeup neutral.
The key, like always, is balance!
